AKUNA - Certificates Better Business Bureau (BBB)  The Better Business Bureau is an independent, self-governing, non-profit
organization established by members of the business community. It encourages
self-regulation, to promote truth in business practices. The BBB is
dedicated to the building and preservation of public confidence in
legitimate business. The BBB has over 140 bureaus in North America.
To gain membership into the BBB, a company must adhere to the ethical principles and standards set by the BBB. In becoming a member, AKUNA has shown that it is committed to maintaining a culture which consistently sets high standards of behavior in its practices. Membership also means that AKUNA strives to illuminate the importance of having a corporate conscience and responsibility in fulfilling its obligation to the marketplace and to its people. AKUNA is proud to be a member of an organization that aims to set the benchmark for superior, successful and honest business. International Organization for Standardization (ISO)  ISO is a network of national standards institutes from 146 countries working in partnership with international organizations, governments, business and consumer representatives. ISO acts as a bridge between public and private sectors and sets global standards for: efficiency, safety, cleanliness, quality, technology, environmental legislation and trade, among a variety of other standards. ISO works within the realms of business, government and society.
The organization has a number of different certificates for meeting specific standards.  The ISO 9001:2000 is concerned with "quality management". This refers to what an organization does to enhance customer satisfaction by meeting customer and regulatory requirements continually to improve its performance.
AKUNA achieved the ISO 9001:2000 certification after an assessment of the company's Quality Management System for the Manufacture of Natural Health Food Products. This certificate is an international reference for quality requirements in business to business dealings. The GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) 
The GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) Certificate was issued by the Natural Health Products Directorate of Health Canada and is renewed annually. This certificate ensures that the sites and operations of AKUNA have been assessed and were found to be in compliance with the Good Manufacturing Practice requirements of the Natural Health Products Regulations. Institute of Biochemistry of the German Sport University Cologne  The German Sport University in Cologne has dedicated research to a large scope of topics in the health and sports sciences, including natural medicine. In recent years, some medical studies had indicated that there were nutritional supplements on the market which contained prohibited anabolic androgenic steroids. These steroids were not being declared on the labels of the supplements. As a result, in 1999 the Institute of Biochemistry at the German Sport University launched a broad-based investigation of the international nutritional supplement market in order to define the extent of the problem.For several years now the University has specialized in the study of natural medicines and supplements. On the request of AKUNA, the Institute analyzed ALVEO for anabolic-androgenic steroids. The results came back negative. These findings indicate that ALVEO is a healthy and safe supplement that can be used by professional athletes and active individuals alike. |
